La Union in the State of New Mexico is positioned high (located 1,200 meters above sea level), has a large temperature difference between night and day and has hardly any rain. Therefore, the area's climate is ideal for growing cotton.
In 1992, Mr. Alvarez switched over to sustainable, organic farming methods to grow chili, alfalfa(feedstuff), and all crops as a result of his second son's birth.
By thankfully introduced by Sally Fox, we have entrusted the growing of organic cotton to Mr. Alvarez, since 2001.
